Die Verbindung zum hausinternen E-Mailserver schlägt fehl. Schnell wird klar: Es kann nur am Netzwerkkabel liegen. Also jedes Kabelstück (zwei normale Patchkabel und eine Verbindung zwischen zwei Dosen) stückweise überbrückt und festgestellt, dass es die festverlegte Verbindung zwischen den Dosen sein muss. Ärgerlich, denn dies ist am aufwendigsten. Ein von Mäusen angefressenes Kabel kann schnell durch Sichtkontrolle ausgeschlossen werden, jedenfalls an den zugänglichen Stellen. Also schnell meinen improvisierten Netzwerkprüfer angeschlossen - bestehend aus einem abgeschnittenen CAT.5-Kabel, dessen Adern ich nach Lust und Laune verbinden kann. Damit und einem Durchgangprüfer an der anderen Seite zunächst die Paare gecheckt - alles im Bereich von 9 Ohm, was eigentlich noch OK sein sollte. Auch die Masseleitung funktioniert durchgängig. Nächster Test, Prüfer raus und auf Kurzschlüsse in der Leitung geprüft. Alles OK, keine Verbindungen zwischen den Adern. Schon am eigenen Verstand zweifelnd schließe ich das Kabel wieder an und... keine Verbindung. Gut, nochmal von vorne und das erste Patchkabel vom Router zur Dose überbrückt - nun ist die Verbindung auf einmal wieder da! Bleiben zwei Kandidaten, das überbrückte Kabel selbst oder der Port am Switch. Also den Port gewechselt - Kabel funktioniert. Hm schade, scheint wohl das Switch kaputt zu sein. Zum Gegencheck nochmal zurück an den alten Port - die LED leuchtet grün. WTF?!? Jetzt zweifel ich echt an meinem Verstand. Im Augenblick ist alles wieder genauso wie am Anfang, und die Verbindung steht stabil. Ich bin mal gespannt, wie lange das anhält... Fehlersuche bei potentiellen Wackelkontakten macht echt keinen Spaß :-)

Ich bin ja nun wirklich nicht jemand, der sich über viele E-Mails beschweren würde. Aber 25 eingehende und 17 ausgehende E-Mails innerhalb von fünf Stunden (von 20 weiteren, automatisch versandten Mails garnicht zu sprechen), teilweise zu drei Themen gleichzeitig, das bringt dann doch auch mich so ziemlich an meine Grenzen... es sind ja nicht nur die Mails, es sind auch die in den E-Mails genannten Aufgaben und gewünschten Recherchen... was freu ich mich, wenn dieser Auftrag heute abend endlich abgehakt ist *stöhn*.

Übrigens, in eigener Sache... gibt es heute noch DECT-Telefone, bei denen das Telefonbuch in der Basis und nicht im Handteil gespeichert wird? Die Gigaset 2000isdn konnte das wohl, meine jedenfalls mich dran erinnern zu können. Bei aktuellen Modellen scheint das irgendwie außer Mode zu sein.

Vor fünf Jahren schrieb ich drei oder vier Bewerbungen auf Ausbildungsstellen als Fachinformatiker. Eigentlich nur auf Drängen meiner Eltern, die keinen Bock hatten, mich ein ganzes Jahr lang durchzufüttern - mir wäre eine Auszeit viel lieber gewesen. Letztendlich hab ich bei der Firma ES 2000 GmbH eine Ausbildungsstelle zum Anwendungsentwickler bekommen. Das Programmieren machte zwar Spaß, aber von der Berufsschule fühlte ich mich total genervt. So wechselte ich nach kurzer Zeit schließlich an die Uni, um dort zunächst "B.Sc. Physik mit Informatik", später "B.Sc. Mathematik / Informatik" zu studieren (und inzwischen "M.Sc. Informatik").
Bei ES 2000 blieb ich seit dem - mit einer einjährigen Unterbrechung um das Studium wieder aufzuholen - als Aushilfskraft beschäftigt. Das dürfte letztendlich sowohl für ES 2000 als auch für mich ein Gewinn gewesen sein, da ich dadurch einen Einblick in die praktische Entwicklungsarbeit gewinnen konnte, der den meisten meiner Kommilitonen versagt bleibt.
Letztes Jahr um diese Zeit haben meine Freundin Verlobte und ich uns schließlich selbstständig gemacht, um ein eigenes kleines Softwareunternehmen aufzubauen. Da wir in diesem Jahr einige lukrative Aufträge an Land ziehen konnten, und beide Jobs gleichzeitig leider dafür sorgten, dass ich mein Studium sehr vernachlässigte, musste ich mich entscheiden - und habe bei ES 2000 gekündigt. Es ist mir sehr schwer gefallen, aber ich hoffe, es war die richtige Entscheidung.
Heute war jedenfalls mein letzter Arbeitstag, von nun an gibt es nur noch die Uni und die eigene Firma, und ab nächstem Jahr dann hoffentlich nur noch die Firma.
Zum Abschluss möchte ich nun endlich einen Blogeintrag nachholen, den ich eigentlich schon im Mai machen wollte: "Mein Weg zur Arbeit". Nun, heute war's eher regnerisch und ich bin mit Bus gefahren, aber dennoch, wenn man die Bilder sieht mag man garnicht glauben, dass ich das Stadtgebiet auf dem ganzen Weg nie verlasse, oder?

Aber es hat sich gelohnt, das Tippgefühl ist wieder so samtig-weich wie kurz nach dem Kauf! Meine bisherige Laptop-Tastatur hatte leider ihre mittlerweise 4. oder 5. Komplettreinigung nicht überlebt, einige Tastenhalterungen waren zerbrochen.
Und mein Lob geht erneut an CS Communication Service für ihren ziemlich günstigen Original-Samsung-Ersatzteil-Shop. Ich will mich von meinem Samsung X20 XVM 1730 einfach nicht verabschieden, im Vergleich zu diesem drei Jahre alten Laptop ist derzeit nur Schrott auf dem Markt. Mit diesem Leichtgewicht von 2,4kg bei einem 15"-Monitor im 4:3-Format mit 1400x1050er-Auflösung kann ich dank neuem Akku auch locker mal 4 Stunden ohne Netz auskommen. Wo kriegt man sowas heutzutage denn noch? Nur ein bisschen mehr CPU-Leistung würde ich mir manchmal ("emerge -Du world") wünschen - aber für die normale Arbeit ist's perfekt.

Der Akku war leergelaufen. Normalerweise kein Problem, beim Neustart wird ein Festplattencheck gemacht und alles ist gut. Nur dieses mal ging garnichts, der Fehler ließ sich nicht beheben, und nichtmal eine Rettungs-CD ließ sich starten. Es hat Stunden gedauert, bis ich den Schuldigen erkannt habe: mein gestern gelieferter, nagelneuer Arbeitsspeicher von Corsair. Zwei 1GB-Riegel habe ich gestern verbaut, und der eine davon ist wohl deffekt. Im Ergebnis wurden korrupte Daten auf die Festplatte geschrieben, und nun darf ich mein System neu aufsetzen. Glücklicherweise betrifft es nur die Systempartition, der Bereich mit meinen normalen Daten ist unbeschädigt. Trotzdem mehr als ärgerlich...
Dann werde ich mal die RMA-Abwicklung von Home of Hardware testen.
Oh. weiß jemand, ob ich Ubuntu dazu bringen kann, sämtliche Pakete neu zu installieren? So würde ich eventuell um eine komplette Neuinstallation herumkommen.

Schon über ne Woche nichts geschrieben... irgendwie war ich zu sehr mit anderen Themen beschäftigt. Hier nun ein Kurzüberblick...
Der kaputte RAM-Riegel wurde übrigens von "Home of Hardware" ganz problemlos ausgetauscht.
Weniger Glück haben wir da derzeit mit unserem "HP Color LaserJet CM1015". Offenbar ist die Fixiereinheit bei dieser Serie etwas anfällig, wie mir ein Hotline-Mitarbeiter bestätigte. Nachdem das Gerät bereits im Juli ausgetauscht wurde, weil die äußeren 15mm des Papiers nicht mehr richtig fixiert wurden und deshalb der Toner verschmierte, tritt das Problem inzwischen wieder auf. Der HP-Hotline-Mitarbeiter empfahl, in Zukunft nur noch Papier zu verwenden, welches speziell für Laserdrucker hergestellt wurde und nicht für Tintenpisser geeignet ist. Toll, haben wir uns doch gerade erst einen Jahresvorrat an "Copy/Laser/Inkjet"-Papier zugelegt :-(. Derzeit haben wir das Problem im Griff, indem wir die Papiereinstellungen auf "schwer" geändert haben. Dadurch druckt das Gerät zwar langsamer, aber heizt das Papier auch länger auf.
Apropos aufheizen... der hissige Entsorger für unsere gelben Säcke, ALBA, hat angekündigt, die Säcke in Zukunft nur noch gegen Gutscheine auszugeben. Meiner Meinung nach eine ganz blöde Idee... Gelbe Säcke habe ich mir noch nie bewusst geholt, sondern beim Einkauf "mal eben" mitgenommen. Wenn das in Zukunft nicht mehr ginge, weil ich dann ja ständig die Gutscheine dabei haben müsste, würde der Abfall im Endeffekt wohl doch wieder in der Restmülltonne landen. Und ich vermute, dass das nicht nur mir so gehen würde.
Mein Schatz hat sich zum Arbeiten ein neues Laptop bestellt. Ein Dell Latitude E6400. In Rot. Die Farbauswahl ist garnicht so leicht zu finden, witzigerweise erfolgt die nämlich durch die Wahl der Grafikkarte ("Intel", "NVIDIA", "RED NVIDIA", "BLUE NVIDIA"). Leider wollte Dell nicht auf die Installation von Windows verzichten - so haben wir also bald eine ungenutzte Vista-Home-Lizenz hier rumfliegen. Sobald es da ist, gibt's selbstverständlich einen ersten Bericht, wie sich Ubuntu auf dem Gerät schlägt.
Auf eine Synchronisation von meinem Handy mit KDE Kontact muss ich wohl noch länger warten. Theoretisch ginge es mithilfe von SyncE und OpenSync. Leider ist das OpenSync-Plugin für KDE nicht für KDE 4 geeignet, und die Neuentwicklung für das neue Framework Akonadi wird wohl auch mit KDE 4.2 noch nicht so weit sein, wie ich heute auf der Mailingliste gelesen habe.
Morgen, ne, heute, findet das Ehemaligentreffen der Informatik statt. Ich bin ja mal gespannt, wie das so wird. Als Master-Student, der seinen Bachelor ebenfalls hier gemacht hat, bin ich (wie mein Schatz und einige weitere Kommilitonen auch) quasi gleichzeitig "ehemalig" und "aktiv".
Ach ja, und auch dazu gibt es ein Update: Wir haben uns heute endlich unsere Ringe ausgesucht :-). Wollen zwar noch bis Montag abwarten, aber ich habe keinen Zweifel, dass wir bei unserer Wahl bleiben werden! Am Dienstag waren wir übrigens in Münster auf dem Konzert vom Farin Urlaub Racing Team. Wie immer, einfach nur geil! Obwohl, ich werde wohl langsam alt... ich habe ein Farin-Konzert auch schonmal verschwitzter verlassen :-)

Lang genug, um die Lampen auf der Straße und das ISDN-Telefon ausgehen zu lassen, gerade noch lang genug, um die Fritz!Box abstürzen zu lassen (sie hat keinen Neustart durchgeführt, aber auch keine Verbindungen mehr angenommen), aber kurz genug, um den E-Mail- und Fileserver (ohne USV) weiterlaufen zu lassen. Was das wohl bei so klarem Wetter gewesen sein mag...
PS: Den Server habe ich vorsichtshalber dennoch neu gestartet.

Fast hätte ich es verpasst:
Dies ist der 100. Beitrag in diesem Weblog! Zu diesem Anlass habe ich mir die Mühe gemacht und alle Artikel neu getagt. Außerdem wird es wohl mal Zeit für einen kleinen Rücklick.
Das Blog
Als ich am 29. Januar angefangen habe, hier zu bloggen, began dies mit ein paar Bedenken meinerseits über die Einrichtung "Uni-Blogs". Diese konnten aber inzwischen weitgehend ausgeräumt werden, obwohl die gelegentlichen Datenbankprobleme, auf die man als Anwender überhaupt keinen Einfluss hat, natürlich etwas nerven.
Die Inhalte, die ich in dieser Zeit geschrieben habe, sind ziemlich gemischt. Vieles handelt von meiner Vorliebe für Linux, aber auch politische Themen oder Uni-Interna kamen meiner Meinung nach nicht zu kurz. Im großen und ganzen denke ich, dass man die Beiträge hier als abwechlungsreich, wenn auch zum Teil ein bisschen zu fachspezifisch bezeichnen könnte. Korrigiert mich, wenn ihr anderer Meinung seid.
Aus diesem Mischmasch ergibt sich eine relativ geringe Anzahl an Stammlesern, die meisten Besucher finden per Google den Weg hierhin. Beliebte Suchwörter sind derzeit verschiedene Kombinationen aus XOrg, evdev und HAL, aber auch der recht frühe Artikel über die Performance-Probleme von Osnatel's Nameserver wird oft aufgerufen.
Aber ich hatte auch nie vor, hier ein Blog mit täglichen Beiträgen für eine Vielzahl von Lesern zu machen - das könnenanderebesser. Mein Ziel war und ist, eine Art Knowledge-Base für mich selbst und andere aufzubauen und hin und wieder auf persönliche Anliegen hinzuweisen. Ich mein, warum schreiben andere Tagebuch? In der Regel wohl eher nicht, damit dies von möglichst vielen Leuten gelesen wird ;-)
Mein Leben
Persönlich hat es im Laufe der letzten 99 Beiträge für mich vor allem ein paar Prioritätsverschiebungen gegeben. Mein Schatz und ich haben den nächsten Schritt getan und werden bald heiraten - die Ringe sind inzwischen bestellt :-).
Der Zeitaufwand für unsere eigene Firma sowie für das Studium ist seit dem Sommer deutlich gestiegen, worunter vor allem mein Engagement für die Grüne Hochschulgruppe sowie private Kontakte etwas gelitten haben. Ich hoffe, dass sich dies im kommenden Semester, wenn nur noch meine Masterarbeit ansteht, etwas bessert.
Die Zukunft
Was würde ich mir für die Zukunft in Bezug auf dieses Weblog von VirtUOS wünschen? Eigentlich vor allem mehr Kontrolle. Die Einbindung eigener Style-Sheets wäre eine feine Sache, um das Layout besser individualisieren zu können. Und die vollständige Verwendung von HTML im Editor wäre super, dann könnte ich endlich auf das unsägliche -Tag verzichten. Aus persönlichen Gründen hätte ich gerne die Möglichkeit, mehr Einfluss auf den Feedreader zu nehmen, ihn zum Beispiel für einzelne Hosts oder Beiträge zu sperren. Und richtig genial wäre es natürlich, das Blog unter einer eigenen Domain (z.B. blog.dau-sicher.de) zu betreiben. Allerdings weiß ich nicht, ob WordPress MU überhaupt derart mit "virtuellen Hosts" arbeiten kann.
PS: Wer nachzählt wird feststellen, dass nur 99 Beiträge öffentlich sind. Dies liegt daran, dass ich einen Beitrag zwischenzeitlich auf "privat" setzen musste - gewisse Begriffe sollte man einfach nicht als Überschrift für einen Artikel verwenden ;-)

...kommt derzeit aus unserer Warmwasserleitung. Die Heizung ist seit gestern auf den komischen Gedanken gekommen, die Heizkörper weiterhin zu versorgen, aber den Warmwasserspeicher zu ignorieren. Brrr, das kann unangenehm sein, sage ich euch. Ich hoffe nur, dass die Handwerker heute noch kommen, spätestens morgen muss ich mich wieder richtig duschen.
Unser Vermieter kann einem echt leid tun. Irgendwie ging dieses Jahr ständig irgendwas am Haus kaputt.

Blödes Konsumfest... Samstags in die Innenstadt zu fahren war ne echt blöde Idee. Heute morgen so um 11 Uhr ging es noch, aber ab 14 Uhr war dann wirklich die Hölle los. Naja, alle Geschenke sind besorgt und wir haben für uns auch was feines ;-)

Die ersten 20 Jahre ging es ja noch. Aber inzwischen gehen mir Songs wie "Last Christmas" und "Do They Know It's Christmas?" einfach nur noch auf den Senkel. Dass sich inzwischen kaum eine große Band noch traut, Weihnachtssongs zu machen, hat genau einen Grund: Niemand will das halbe Jahrhundert über Jahr für Jahr duzende male sein Lied immer zur gleichen Zeit hören. Wham! kann einem echt leid tun. Auch wenn es sich finanziell vermutlich gelohnt hat.

Ich glaube so oft wie in diesem Januar hab ich den AStA noch nie von innen gesehen... wobei, so schlecht ist's dort eigentlich nicht. Schöne flotte Uni-Internetleitung (aber warum ist Port 143 gesperrt?!?), Kaffeemanschine neben dem Schreibtisch, was will man mehr? Ok, auf den Computern läuft Windows, aber das hätte ich natürlich umgehend geändert :p (hm ich könnte mal nen StuPa-Antrag dazu einbringen, oder?).
Jedenfalls haben wir im Haushaltsausschuss heute den Haushalt für das kommende Jahr diskutiert. So ganz einig waren wir uns nicht, über den ein oder anderen Punkt wird das StuPa nochmal diskutieren müssen. Das Ziel von Jonathan Klein (dem Finanzreferenten), einige notorisch zu hoch angesetzte Titel etwas niedriger anzusetzen, um langfristig den studentischen Beitrag für den AStA ein wenig reduzieren zu können (wir reden hier von ca. 10 EUR auf ca. 9 EUR pro Person) ist zwar nobel, aber einige der Kürzungen sind politisch etwas brisant. Sie werden im Entwurf erstmal wieder zurück genommen und über die genaue Umsetzung werden dann die Parlamentarier am 11. Februar entscheiden müssen.
Und da P. gefragt hat: Nein, ein neues AStA-Gebäude ist im Haushalt nicht vorgesehen ;-)

Der elektronische und kontaktlos per Funk (RFID) auslesebare Personalausweis mit biometrischen Informationen kommt im November 2010. Falls der eigene Ausweis erst kurz danach abläuft, sollte man meiner Meinung nach ernsthaft überdenken, ihn vorher versehentlich zu verlieren.
Bin mal gespannt, wie lange es dann noch dauert, bis die ersten Hacker fremde Leute auf der Straße mit Namen ansprechen können.

Sorry, nix los hier im Moment. Hab soviel zu tun, dass für's Blog keine Zeit bleibt. Es bleiben so schon genügend Dinge liegen. Ironischerweise habe ich mir gerade das Buch "Getting Things Done" bestellt und keine Ahnung, wann ich das eigentlich lesen soll ;-)
Außerdem habe ich gestern erfahren, dass ich nen Klausurentermin verwechselt habe. Ich hatte fest den 30.03. im Kopf, aber tatsächlich ist es der 03.03, also der kommende Dienstag. Zum Abmelden ist's leider auch schon zu spät, also sehe ich es mal als Probelauf an.
Am Donnerstag und Freitag verbringe ich dann meine Zeit an unserem CeBIT-Stand.

Marcell von VirtUOS hat eine Funktion in Wordpress eingebaut, die ich seit Freitag teste: Die Stylesheets des Themes zu modifizieren! Auf sowas habe ich schon etwas länger gewartet ;-) .
Was haltet ihr von meinen Änderungen? Ich rufe mal einen Wettbewerb aus, sie zu finden und vielleicht Verbesserungsvorschläge zu machen (aber ohne Preis, denn man könnte auch einfach in die CSS-Datei reinschauen). Firefox-User bleiben leider noch außen vor, da dieser Browser etwas pingelig ist: Das neue Script sendet derzeit als Content-Type für die neue Datei "text/html", das mag der Firefox nicht, er besteht auf "text/css" oder wenigstens "text/plain". Aber in Opera, Internet Explorer und vermutlich auch Safari dürfte alles funktionieren.
Ich weiß ja, von wegen kleiner Finger und so... aber jetzt noch FullHTML als Eingabemethode oder wenigstens <div> und <span> sowie das class-Attribut (so dass ich ohne <font> und co. auskomme), und ich wäre richtig glücklich... ginge das ;-)?

Vor kurzem ist "Secret of Mana" endlich auf die Virtuel Console der Wii portiert worden, nun ist mit "Zelda Majoras Mask" (dem Nachfolger von Ocarina of Time) endlich ein weiteres Highlight der Zelda-Reihe erhältlich! Wenn ich mich nicht täusche, sind damit nun sogar alle Zelda-Teile für VC-Kompatible Konsolen auf der Wii spielbar. Fehlen eigentlich nur noch die GameBoys ;-)
Seit ich die Wii habe, steht auch noch eine alte Nintendo64 beim Fernseher, weil ich dieses Spiel noch nie durchgespielt hatte. Nun kann ich das alte Gerät endlich einmotten und das Cadridge seinem Besitzer zurückgeben *g*. Bei der Menge an freier Zeit, die ich im Moment finde, dürften alleine diese beiden Spiele nun locker für die nächsten drei Jahre reichen :-) Und falls nicht... Mario64 wartet auch noch!

Keine drei Stunden und gefühlt einem duzend Sperrmüllsammlern später:
In den Lücken standen zwei defekte Fernseher, ein defekter Computer, eine eigentlich bereits von mir ausgeschlachtete Leuchtstoffröhrenhalterung, ein auseinander genommener und für nicht mehr brauchbar deklarierter Papierschredder, ein Vorderrad mit nem deutlichen Schlag und defektem Kugellager im (Billig-)Nabendynamo, ein Eimer mit sonstigem Elektroschrott (Kaputtes Telefon, unbrauchbare Master-Slave-Steckdose, etc), zwei definitiv kaputte (und inzwischen völlig eingetrocknete) Drucker und vieles mehr. Die Holzwand war mal ne Gadrobe. Irgendwie habe ich gerade das Gefühl, dass dies ein halbes Vermögen gewesen sein mag.

Die Kaffeemaschine funktioniert eigentlich noch, aber die Kanne fehlt. Und eine neue in der passenden Farbe ist kaum zu bekommen. Aber wen das nicht stört... nunja. Mal sehen, ob sie auch noch verschwindet.
Der blaue Sack im Hintergrund stammt übrigens nicht von uns. Da drin liegen anscheinend diverse Überreste ausgeschlachteter Elektrogeräte. Mal sehen, was damit passiert.

Dunkel (hier: schwarz) gewordene Warmhaltekannen für Kaffee kriegt man kinderleicht wieder sauber, wenn man sie mit heißem Wasser und Spülmaschinenreiniger gefüllt über nacht stehen lässt. Sie glänzt wieder wie neu!
Nur wie ich nun den Geschmack des Spülmaschinenreinigers wieder herausbekomme, das konnte sie mir leider auch nicht sagen :-(

Wusste nicht mal, dass es sie im DSL-Zeitalter noch gibt - warum machen die klassischen Medien da gerade so ein Hype draus? KAI GEHRING (Hochschulpolitischer Sprecher der GRÜNEN Bundestagsfraktion) kommt heute zu uns und will uns einen Input in Grüne Universität geben. Wir können Ideen debattieren und von seinen Aufenthalten an vielen deutschen Unis profitieren. Sicher kann auch noch das ein oder andere Wort zum Bildungsstreik und zu Bologna gesprochen werden.
Die öffentliche Diskussionsveranstaltung findet im EW-Gebäude der Universität Osnabrück (Gebäude 15, Seminarstraße 20) ab 18:30 Uhr in Raum 133 statt.

Es piepte. Hörte sich an wie ein rückwärtsfahrender Lastwagen. Aber der Rhythmus war irgendwie komisch, immer drei mal, dann eine kurze Pause. Also der Sache mal auf den Grund gehen. Hm, im Flur ist es lauter? Das wird doch wohl nicht... die Wohnungstür geöffnet... doch! Das Geräusch kommt vom Rauchmelder auf dem Dachboden! Schnell die Stange genommen und vorsichtigt die Lucke geöffnet. Viel Zugluft, aber kein Rauch oder sowas. Im an der Wand stehenden Spiegel war auch nichts ungewöhntliches zu sehen. Ok, Treppe aufgeklappt und hochgestiegen, aber nichts - kein Feuer, kein Rauch, nicht mal Nebel. Nur der Feuermelder ca. 30cm unterhalb des Giebels, der so munter und laut am piepen war, dass es unseren Wellensittiche wohl eine wahre Freude gewesen wäre ;-).
Jetzt lag das Ding hier auf dem Schreibtisch, und ca. eine Minute nachdem ich die Batterie wieder angeschlossen (und mit diesem Eintrag angefangen) hatte piepte es wieder los. Keine Ahnung, was mit dem Ding los ist. Ich werde nacher mal versuchen, vorsichtig das Gehäuse mit Druckluft zu reinigen, aber vermutlich ist es ein Fall für den Elektroschrott. Dabei haben wir es vor gerade mal vier Monaten erst aufgehängt. Eine leere Batterie ist es vermutlich nicht, das hab ich schonmal ausprobiert und klingt anders, mehr zwitschernd und mit deutlich längeren Intervallen.
Aber ich sach euch, so ein Feuermelder-Fehlalarm sorgt für ganz schön weiche Knie.

Die Bedeutung der Antwort auf die Frage nach dem Sinn des Lebens ist endlich geklärt! Schaut nur mal in die Begründung des Wahlausschusses für die Annullierung der StuPa-Wahl:
Gem. § 27 Abs. 2 S. 1 Wahlordnung der Studentinnen- und Studentenschaft ist die Sitzverteilung anhand des d’Hondtschen Höchstzahlverfahren zu ermitteln. In der zweiten Ordnung ergibt sich für SpuG somit eine Höchstzahl von 42, in der dritten Ordnung ergibt sich für die LHG ebenso eine Höchstzahl von 42. Der 45. Sitz entfällt auf die Höchstzahl 42.
42! Das KANN kein Zufall sein!

1975 standen noch nicht so viele Tische im Speiseraum. Die Gänge waren breit und komfortabel.
Die Cafeteria im Stil der damaligen Zeit. Erstaunlich voll, und von den heute bekannten einzelnen Tischchen noch keine Spur.
Aber die Studenten wussten sich zu arrangieren. Lernen und Essen nebeneinander - kein Problem! Man beachte die für 1975 erstaunliche technische Ausstattung des Studenten auf diesem Bild.
Übrigens, auf die Situation angesprochen meinte eine Kassiererin sinngemäß zu mir: "Ja, das soll noch die nächsten zwei Jahre so bleiben. Wo ist denn das Problem, ist doch alles ok?".

Was den Fluggesellschaften entgeht, kriegen Bahnbetriebe, Tankstellen und Raststätten wieder rein. Und Waren, die jetzt nicht geliefert werden konnten, werden halt später geliefert. Das einzige, was tatsächlich fehlen dürfte, sind die Menschen, die ihren Urlaub nicht antreten und auch nicht verschieben konnten. Das Leben geht offenbar weiter, auch ohne Luftverkehr.
Arg und da labert der Ramsauer gerade von staatlicher Hilfe für die Wirtschaft. Ja ne, is klar...

Aus aktuellem Anlass möchte ich mal versuchen, eine Liste der Supermärkte in Osnabrück zu erstellen, bei denen man besonders lange Einkaufen kann. Aufgeführt werden hier nur Läden, die an mindestens 5 Tagen in der Woche bis 21 Uhr oder länger geöffnet haben. Diese Liste erhebt keinen Anspruch auf Richtigkeit und Vollständigkeit. Ergänzungen und Korrekturen sind jederzeit willkommen!

Ich kann aber nur jedem raten, doch besser zu einem Fotografen zu gehen. Der macht deutlich bessere Bilder als die hessische Polizei. Und vermutlich auch für weniger Geld ;-) Diese Bildqualität ist ja schon fast eine Frechheit :D
Disclaimer: Ist nix teures, nur ein Verwarnungsgeld für etwas zu schnelles Fahren auf der A44...

Dafür, dass ich mich heute das erste mal richtig damit beschäftigt habe, und meine Digicam Fuji FinePix F30 nur über Umwege unterschiedliche belichtete Bilder bei gleicher Blende erzeugen kann, sieht das Resultat doch schon ganz nett aus:
Ach ja, ein Stativ hatte ich natürlich auch nicht zur Verfügung, ein paar Filmdosen mussten reichen :-)

Ein extrem günstiges Angebot steht für die aktuelle Woche in der Galeria-Kaufhof-Werbung für den Markt in Osnabrück:
Einen acer TFT-Monitor "X243 HQbd" mit Full-HD-Auflösung und 23,6" Diagonale für nur 99,- EUR statt vormals 149,- EUR. An einen solchen Preis kommt nach meinen Recherchen derzeit nichtmal ein Onlineshop heran. Doch als ich heute (Montag) um 10:30 Uhr in der Filiale stand, wurde gerade für den Kunden vor mir das Ausstellungsstück eingepackt. Aufkunft des Verkäufers: Tut mir leid, wir hatten nur 12 Stück und bekommen auch keine weiteren rein.
12 Monitore, in einer Stadt mit über 150.000 Einwohnern, darüber hinaus vermutlich im ganzen Landkreis beworben (jedenfalls befand sich die Werbung im "Osnabrücker Sonntagsblatt")... ist das eigentlich noch eine ausreichende Bevorratung für ein Lockangebot?
Achja, und als ich dann wenigstens mein Parkticket abgestempelt haben wollte, will eine (andere) Verkäuferin noch mit mir diskutieren, dass ich ja nicht für 10 EUR eingekauft habe :-/

Ich hatte noch am selben Tag ein frustriertes Fax an Galeria Kaufhof geschickt, in dem ich beiläufig auch auf das oben verlinkte Urteil hinwies. Gestern erhielt ich nun eine Antwort. Sie zeigten sich selbst vom Erfolg das Angebots überrascht und boten mir ein gleichwertiges Model von HP für den selben Preis an. Ich muss sagen, ich war darüber doch ziemlich überrascht! Der Kunde ist zufriedengestellt und wird sicher wieder mal dort einkaufen :-)

TEUFELSZEUG!
1975 standen noch nicht so viele Tische im Speiseraum. Die Gänge waren breit und komfortabel.
Die Cafeteria im Stil der damaligen Zeit. Erstaunlich voll, und von den heute bekannten einzelnen Tischchen noch keine Spur.
Aber die Studenten wussten sich zu arrangieren. Lernen und Essen nebeneinander - kein Problem! Man beachte die für 1975 erstaunliche technische Ausstattung des Studenten auf diesem Bild.
